Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy,
active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized physical
therapy services for a 9-year-old 4th-grade student in a
school-based setting, supporting their developmental and functional
goals. This position requires delivering targeted interventions to
enhance the student's motor skills, endurance, balance, and
strength, working collaboratively within the school environment.
Location: Cambridge, MA Duration: Contract through the remainder of
the current school year, with a strong likelihood of continuation
into the 20252026 school year Schedule: 1 hour per week, flexible
availability between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM Start Date: Late March
preferred; early April acceptable Key Responsibilities: Implement
physical therapy interventions aligned with individualized goals to
improve stair navigation, endurance, balance, and strength Monitor
and document student progress using established measures such as
the 6 Minute Walk Test and modified tandem walk assessments
Collaborate with school staff to integrate therapy activities into
the school day effectively Maintain clear communication with
educators and parents regarding student progress and therapy plans
Adhere to all school and district guidelines related to student
safety and therapy protocols Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in pediatric and
school-based therapy Knowledge of developmental physical therapy
techniques appropriate for elementary-aged children Ability to
create and implement individualized treatment plans focused on
functional outcomes Strong interpersonal skills for working
