Director, Scientific Communications Lead - DMD provides leadership
for the planning, development, and execution of an integrated
scientific communications strategy for Dyne’s Duchenne muscular
dystrophy program. This role is responsible for defining long-term
strategies that translate complex scientific, clinical, and
real-world data into clear, accurate, and compliant communications
for internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare
professionals and payers. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise
in strategic scientific communication planning and cross-functional
leadership ensuring close partnership with other functions withing
the Global Medical Affairs team, as well as with Clinical
Development, Biostatistics, Research, HEOR, Commercial, and
Corporate Communications to ensure cohesive planning and execution
of Dyne’s scientific and medical education strategy. This role is
based in Waltham, MA. Primary Responsibilities Include: Develop and
lead the global scientific communications strategy for DMD aligned
with program and corporate objectives Develop and ensure the
execution of a long-term strategic publication plan, including
integration of preclinical, clinical, and real-world evidence data
into dissemination roadmaps and evidence-generation narratives, and
maintain visibility into timelines, dependencies and risks to
ensure on-time delivery Assist in developing Dyne’s overall
congress strategy and presence, including planning medical booth
assets, symposia, and presentations Plan and execute global medical
communications initiatives (e.g., IME, roundtables) that support
product strategy Serve as strategic advisor to cross-functional
teams on scientific messaging and data interpretation Partner
closely with Patient Advocacy and regional medical teams on the
development of publications and educational materials for their
respective audiences Manage agency partners and external vendors to
deliver high-quality outputs Manage budgets and resources to
support long-term planning and execution Mentor junior members of
the team Education and Skills Requirements: Doctorate degree (MD,
PhD, PharmD) with 12 years of experience with a focus on rare
diseases, neuromuscular experience, or related discipline
Analytical skills, with a track record of delivering against goals
while working in high performing, diverse teams Demonstrated
success in operating effectively in highly matrixed organizations
where influencing skills are critical to day-to-day success
Experience in building strong and effective relationships with
thought leaders Experience in managing vendor partners Excellent
written and verbal communication skills Launch experience preferred
Travel up to ~20% MA Pay Range $233,000 - $285,000 USD The pay
range reflects the base pay range Dyne reasonably expects to pay
for this role at the time of posting. Individual compensation
depends on factors such as education, experience, job-related
knowledge, and demonstrated skills. The statements contained herein
