Lubricants Inc., a member of the FUCHS Group located in Fairhaven,
MA, is a leader in the innovation, formulation and manufacturer of
synthetic lubricants. Nye--------s lubricants add value to products
in a wide range of industries and applications. Your
responsibilities:The Production Planner will be responsible for
master scheduling and production planning for high volume, low
volume, and bulk grease products. Other essential duties
include:
Develop production schedules to meet
all finished goods requirements while optimizing capacity and
inventory levelsWork with Sales and Operations to plan, develop and
establish production schedules to meet customer demandsMonitor the
manufacturing schedule throughout the month and anticipate possible
changes as needed due to batch failure, equipment failure, or lack
of resources (material, labor, etc.)Coordinate with buyers,
production, quality, sales, customer service, and shipping to
maintain service level goalsReview historical and forecasted demand
and provide recommendations on safety stock levels, reorder points
and order up to level.Propose solutions to maintain stock levels,
minimize lost sales, reduce aged inventory and maximize inventory
turnover Utilize the Company MRP system to:Determine whether
sufficient raw material and component inventory exists to produce
the quantity of product required.Verify manufacturing lead times
and available capacity.Verify incoming receipts on open PO--------s
as applicable.Provide revised ship dates as necessary due to
Customer change requests or our inability to meet original
committed ship dates for assigned products.Proactively review raw
material demands with Purchasing to anticipate shortages for
assigned products.Maintain ERP system integrity by flagging
discrepancies and noting necessary changes to master dataProvide
analytical data to support inventory levels and batch size
recommendations.Provide leadership support/role in Daily/Weekly
Planning meetings.Provide leadership support/role in ad hoc project
teams.Generate capacity plans for applicable manufacturing cells.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Bachelor--------s degree in business related fieldAPICS
certification preferred2+ years experience in demand and production
planningExperience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP or Dynamics GP
preferred)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility
to work effectively with various function across the
organizationProficiency with MS Office suite Advanced Excel
skillsDetail oriented and strong attention to accuracyStrong
analytical skillsExcellent organizational skills These are your
