  • Generous compensation and great benefits packageMay Institute's In-Home Behavioral Services (IHBS) division is currently seeking a master's level Behavior Consultant to provide behavioral support services to families of individuals who display challenging behavior at home and in the community.

    We are seeking consultants from the following areas: Boston Metro, Norwood, and Plymouth. As a Behavior Consultant, you will provide services to clients in one of the previously mentioned service areas (travel to client homes will be confined to an approximately 30-minute radius).

    This is a fee-for-service position (20+ billable hours per week). Candidates must be flexible in their scheduling, which may include evening and/or weekend hours, based on the needs and availability of the families served.

    In-Home Behavioral Services include:
    • A Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) for the youth
    • An individualized Behavior Support Plan (BSP)
    • Coaching and support for the youth's family/caregivers to implement the BSP
    • Monitoring of the BSP to determine its effectiveness
    • Coordination of care with other providersResponsibilities:
      • Provides consultation services to an assigned group of clients - travel for client caseload confined to -30-minute radius.
      • Provide a structured setting for learning new skills and eliminating problem behaviors.
      • Oversee the daily activities and ensure the health, safety, and general well-being of the student(s).
      • Observe and analyze behavior and evaluate progress.
      • Provide treatment procedures as specified in student's treatment plan.
      • Provide support to families, including skills training and sibling services.Qualifications:
        • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., ABA, psychology, special education, mental health counseling, social work) required.
        • Professional certification/licensure (e.g., BCBA, LABA, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) preferred.
        • Bilingual preferred.
        • Demonstrated knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis.
        • Previous experience with social/emotional disabilities preferred.
        • Ability to work independently and as part of a wrap-around team.
        • Reliable transportation.#IND
