Job Type: RegularTime Type: Full timeWork Shift: Evening (United States of America)FLSA Status: Non-ExemptWhen you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.40hpw; 8-hr shifts; rotating weekends & holidaysWeekday shifts will be evening 11a-7:30pWeekend and Holiday shifts will work Day shift (7a-3:30p or 8a-4:30p)Job Description:Duties/Responsibilities:Primary responsibility is infection control.Maintain sterile technique.Performs all duties according to procedure.Cleans, sterilizes, packages and assembles instrument sets.Responsible for cleaning reusable items, including surgical pieces and processing through steam sterilizers, gas sterilizers, washer sterilizers, and ultrasonic if necessary.Responsible for waste disposal and decontamination of contaminated items.Inspects equipment and instruments through all procedural steps for condition and operation.Collects solid instruments, kits, equipment, etc. for processing.Responsible for daily maintenance and housekeeping duties on work stations as requires.Assist in collection of data for Quality Assurance Programs, ongoing.Growth potential for surgical case charts, sterilization containers, and CSR-computerized application.It is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required.Education/Experience Required:HS DiplomaRegistration/Certification:Must be currently enrolled in a Central Sterile Technician program with completion and certification required within 1 year from start of employmentAs a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
