At KDC we are on a mission to empower and support all people to meet their full potential in a world where every individual and family thrive; no matter the circumstances.About this role:This role is part of a team of specialists that provide family-centered services that support and enable families to meet their child's individual needs through education, training and support. You will work with families in a hybrid of telehealth and in-person capacity to provide services. You will work closely with and learn from a team of specialists who are experts in children's physical development, cognitive development, communication, social or emotional development, and adaptive development. In addition to on the job learning, KDC offers professional development activities and training necessary to maintain relevant certification/licensure in accordance with your professional discipline and EI Operational Standards.Starting annual rate: $50kIn this role, you'll get to:Partner with families to identify each child's strengths and developmental needs. Together develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).Work closely with a transdisciplinary team on program planning and delivery of services for families by providing intake, screening, assessments, and ongoing service coordination according to agency and DPH standards.Oversee case management and referral services to assigned caseload, including participation in interagency case conferencesConduct home visits to provide developmental stimulation, parent training, and supportFacilitate parent/child and/or child groups to help children thrive within their family and communitiesComplete reports of assessments, progress reports, IFSPs, and discharge summariesMaintain appropriate communication with physicians, clinics, and community agencies participating in each child's careProvide information to parents that enable them to make informed decisions for their child's progressThis role allows for flexibility in creating your own schedule to visit with familiesWe are looking for people who:Bachelors degree, or higher, in one or more of the following fields: Infants and toddlers (includes Early Intervention and early childhood education) Child development or child studies Education or special education300+ hours of experience with children under the age of 5 years oldStrong written and verbal communicationExpress excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsProficient with technology (i.e. computers, phone, internet etc.)Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportationThe physical requirements for this role:Frequent movement within classroom including but not limited to: kneeling, bending, sitting, lifting, and positioning of studentsOperation of adaptive and specialized equipmentAbility to lift 50 pounds alone, 51+ pounds with the assistance of another person or adaptive equipmentAbility to physically assist individuals as determined by their needsAbility to tolerate significant amounts of walking, standing, and sittingKDC values a diverse workforce.
