Sodexo Leisure is seeking an Executive Chef
2 for Plimoth Plantation in
Plymouth, MA with a broad interest in food
from historical cuisine to current trends to join our
team. Plimoth Plantation, a living history museum
focusing on the experience of the 17th Century Colonial
Settlers and the Indigenous People who were here on the land, is
looking for an experienced, energetic Executive Chef to lead our
seasonal operation provides all culinary services at the museum,
from small internal meetings to 60+ wedding receptions per year,
serves over 2000 guests on Thanksgiving day, and operates two
retail locations daily from March - November. Unique aspects of our
offerings include operating a wood-fired oven for baking bread and
other retail selections, and preparing meals using recipes from,
and inspired by, the 17th Century and Native American
ideal candidate will have experience with high-volume catered
events and handling multiple events at one time; experience writing
and costing menus; and strong HACCP and food safety
Plimoth Patuxet Museum is a living history museum dedicated to
telling the story of the Pilgrim colonists and the Native Americans
that lived in New England in the 17th Century. Sodexo operates two
cafe outlets daily as well as all catering on the property which
ranges from small meetings to over 70 full service weddings yearly.
On Thanksgiving we serve over 2500 plated and buffet dinners to
visitors. An interest in historical dining and Native American
foodways is a plus.

Provides culinary leadership within a
medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and
staff management & training. Works directly with internal and
external clients managing the catering process from beginning
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
- Manages food & physical safety programs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent
Management Experience - 2 years
Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary
services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering
services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
