Job Description:

Position Summary: The Director of Pricing and Contracting is a highly visible managerial position that will support the core business with sound thinking and work in all aspects of pricing and contracting strategy and execution. The pricing and contracting core activities include but are not limited to: gross to net (GTN) projections, pricing strategy development and execution, government reporting management along with a vendor, Pricing Committee management, contracting business case development, relevant pricing and contracting modeling and contracting language management. This role will assist the Vice President, Market Access in optimal pricing and contracting strategy for the company. In addition, this role will be responsible for quarterly reviews of contract performance during and post-launch. This role will have direct interface with senior leadership, the other members of the market access team, finance and legal.

Specific Duties:

The Director of Pricing and Contracting has primary responsibility for five key areas:

Assist the Vice President, Market Access in the execution and management of the Pricing Committee process

Develop and execute regular GTN projections for the business

Build the analysis and then business case for pricing strategy changes

Manage the entire Government Reporting rebate payment process to ensure accuracy and timeliness

Manage the contracting process from collaboratively working with the field to build the business case, to modeling out the appropriate discounting approach, and collaborating on the contract language process with the legal team. Will also lead quarterly contracting performance review

Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years progressive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry

Minimum of 2 or more years pharmaceutical pricing and contracting experience with a track record of successfully executing business case development for macro and micro pricing strategy, contracting proposals, GTN projections and modeling and contract language

Strong preference for government reporting experience

Experience working with multi-disciplinary functions which may include Senior Leadership, Market Access, Marketing, National Account Executives and Finance, preferably gained in both small and large companies

In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical pricing and contracting landscape and analytics

Strong ability to present to executive-level leadership and have good interpersonal skills

Recent and preferable in-depth experience with :

AMP and ASP calculations

GTN projections

Contracting proposals and language

Dealing with complex situations

Education/Experience:

BA/BS degree with focus in business, economics, or finance

MBA preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, with emphasis in working in Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint and Word
