Job Description:

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will be responsible for testing user stories, developing test cases, automation, and regression testing within the healthcare domain. The role emphasizes strong Java coding expertise, backend API testing, and familiarity with Java frameworks like Spring Boot and MyBatis. The SDET will collaborate closely with developers, triage issues at the code level, and contribute to building a t-shaped team where both developers and testers share responsibilities for testing and code quality.Key Responsibilities:--- Test user stories by writing and executing test cases.--- Develop and maintain automation frameworks for regression and API testing.--- Optimize existing frameworks, streamline processes, and enhance test execution efficiency.--- Troubleshoot and triage issues in the codebase, supporting developers as needed.--- Perform SQL queries and troubleshoot database interactions.--- Contribute to the migration and deployment of test cases to cloud environments.--- Collaborate on optimizing and reusing test components for efficiency.Required Qualifications:--- Proficiency in Java programming (beyond automation/scripting).--- Expertise in Java frameworks like Spring Boot and MyBatis.--- Strong experience in test automation for backend APIs using tools like RestAssured or Karate (Postman with strong automation also acceptable).--- SQL querying skills for database interaction and troubleshooting.Preferred Qualifications:--- Python experience for automation within testing frameworks.--- Familiarity with Azure and CI/CD pipeline automation.--- Knowledge of API/microservices development and testing.--- Experience in building and enhancing test frameworks.
