Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Psychiatric - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/27/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Contract Registered Nurse (RN) – Psychiatric (Pediatric/Adolescent) Hampstead Hospital, Hampstead, NH Assignment Details - Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for extension - Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) - Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday (36 hours/week) - Shift Length: 12 hours - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week - On-Call: Not required Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract opportunity at Hampstead Hospital, a department of DHMC. This role focuses on providing specialized care to pediatric and adolescent patients in a behavioral health setting. Ideal candidates are experienced in psychiatric nursing, confident in clinical procedures, and passionate about working with younger populations. Key Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality psychiatric nursing care to pediatric and adolescent patients - Administer medications and monitor patient responses - Perform phlebotomy procedures, including blood draws - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team - Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation - Support a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment for patients - Follow established clinical protocols and uphold organizational standards Required Qualifications - Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact RN License - BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification - CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Certification - Previous pediatric psychiatric experience (required) - Experience and willingness to perform phlebotomy on pediatric/adolescent patients Preferred Attributes - Strong communication and de-escalation skills - Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team - Empathy, patience, and resilience in a behavioral health setting - Commitment to patient-centered care and safety • Medical & Health Insurance Benefits from First Day for All Clinical and Patient-Facing Employees./n• 401K Plan./n•"Your Way is Paid" – we pay for ALL employment requirements, onboarding, physicals, titers, etc./n• $300 - $1000 referral bonus.
