Acute Care experience - Experience with arthritis, CVA
rehabilitation, dementia/Alzheimer’s, and various neurological
disorders - Skills in patient/family education and safety/injury
prevention - Ability to conduct assessments and develop plans of
care Description: This position involves working in an acute care
hospital setting. The occupational therapist will be responsible
for providing rehabilitation services to patients. Candidates
should have familiarity with diverse patient populations, including
adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Experience with managing
conditions such as spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries,
and progressive neurological disorders is essential. The role
includes performing cognitive assessments and planning for
community re-entry and home assessments. Therapists will also
engage in pre-discharge planning and provide education to patients
and families. Safety and injury prevention practices will be a
critical component of patient care. Documentation will be managed
through an electronic health record system. Travelers with prior
experience will be considered, as this unit also accepts first-time
travelers. Candidates should be prepared to work weekends, as
