This position requires proficiency in all aspects of labor and delivery nursing—from patient check-in and pre/post care to discharge planning. Be part of a team managing high-risk pregnancies, including preterm labor, hypertension, diabetes, VBAC, and more. The role involves working 24 hours per week, split into two 12-hour night shifts, with guaranteed hours every other weekend and holiday rotation if scheduled. \n Please note: Orientation is scheduled for Friday, 11/28 (day shift). Night shifts will commence on Sunday, 11/30 (or during that week). \nWe are accepting applications only from candidates residing outside a 50 mile radius; please include your permanent address in your submission. \nAll RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at the time of application; any RTO after offer or acceptance may not be approved. \n\n Certifications and Licenses (Required): \n \n Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in State of Practice (underline and bold to specify)\n Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification\n Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (preferred, but may be required depending on facility policies)\n \n\n What You Bring: \n \n Proven experience in labor and delivery nursing; ability to handle high-acuity obstetric cases with confidence and compassion.\n Strong assessment skills to identify patient needs promptly and accurately.\n Excellent patient communication and education skills, including management of prenatal testing, childbirth education, and neonatal care.\n Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.\n Flexibility to work weekends, rotating holidays, and night shifts.\n Highly organized, with attention to detail in documentation and patient care planning.\n \n Preferred Education & Experience: \n \n Graduate of an accredited nursing program ( ADN or BSN preferred).\n Minimum of 2 years recent experience in labor and delivery or maternal-newborn nursing.\n Experience managing high-risk pregnancies and complex obstetric cases.\n Previous exposure to neonatal intensive care (NICU) environment is a plus.\n \n\n Additional Compensation Details: \n \n Weekly Taxable Pay: $736.34\n Weekly Stipend: $523.23\n Multiplier: x1.25\n Call Pay: $3/hr\n Charge/Precept Pay: $3/hr\n \n\n This position offers an excellent opportunity to advance your obstetric nursing career in a supportive hospital setting, with competitive pay and consistent scheduling.
