Pay Information $2,220 per week About The Position Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Active RN License required or eligible to obtain Certifications: BLS certification required, ACLS required Must-Have: - Bachelor's degree preferred - Successful completion from an approved School of Nursing - Current, valid Registered Nurse License required Description: The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team. The RN is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in assigned areas. The RN will be required to assess patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques. This includes obtaining past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests. The RN will be involved in the planning and implementation of a written care plan under the direction of a Physician. Essential Job Functions include: Assessment: Able to perform standard assessments using basic equipment. Medication Administration: Requires visual acuity and hand-eye coordination. Communication/Documentation: Maintains confidentiality. Able to communicate verbally and in writing. Patient Safety: Able to meet standards of job analysis form. Interpersonal: Interacts positively with team members and patients. Respects patient’s culture, lifestyle, religion, and age when planning or implementing care. Accepts constructive criticism and channels emotional reactions in a positive manner. Qualifications include: Education - Graduate from an approved School of Nursing. Experience - Clinical experience preferred. Professional Activities: Membership in a professional nursing organization is preferred. Certification in specialty preferred.
