Job Title: Social Worker Profession: Social Worker (LCSW) Specialty: Hospital Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 plus years of psychology experience required License: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience with adolescent and adult patients required Description: Responsible for comprehensive assessment of individuals whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness. Assists law enforcement, family members, and others with the admission process, both voluntary and emergency detentions. Makes referrals to community resources as appropriate. Assigns individuals in need of treatment to the appropriate outpatient program. Coordinates inpatient admissions through the medical staff. Expected to function as a member of the multidisciplinary team. Participates in the organization’s community relations program. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities.
