qualified ER/Trauma RN in Manchester, New Hampshire, 03102! Pay

Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required Must-Have: - At least 2 years of
Emergency Department experience - BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
certifications - Strong communication skills with patients and
peers - Strong assessment and critical thinking skills -
Dependability and punctuality - Strong understanding of medical
terminology Description: The Emergency Department has an extensive
team of 88 staff members. There are 4 beds in the Annex, a secure
locked psychiatric area. The department has 25 procedure rooms and
8 hallway beds used 24/7. Patient ratios are typically 4:1, with
flexibility during times of acute surge. Type of equipment utilized
includes U/S, IV skills, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, and
Alaris pumps. The electronic medical record system used is
Sunrise/Allscripts. The patient population includes those with
multiple comorbidities, complicated heart conditions, DKA, Sepsis,
Trauma, and Stroke. Typical procedures performed include Trauma and
Stroke Care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, U/S IV
insertion, IO insertion, eye exams, EKG, psychiatric care, and
cardiopulmonary care. The ideal candidate is a motivated hard
worker and a creative problem solver. A general desire to help and
care for patients is essential. Weekends and on-call duties are
required, with every other weekend for contract labor. The unit
operates under policy-written protocols based on chief complaints,
allowing nurses to order complete lab workups, EKGs, x-rays, and
