Job Description:

Analyzes, creates, and tunes queries for sourcing data for applications or end user reporting needs, using advanced SQL and PLSQL. Enhances full stack application development, using Linux, Windows, R, SQL, Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Tableau, R, R-Studio Shiny, BI Publishing solution, and Excel/VBA. Coordinates data, using Cloud services and APIs. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software solutions and reports, using data science, and business analytics and intelligence.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms according to Agile development methodologies

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing reporting solutions, using Oracle, PLSQL, and BI tools (OBIEE and Tableau) within an Asset Management environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience developing reporting solutions, using Oracle, PLSQL, and BI tools (OBIEE and Tableau) within an Asset Management environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) creating reporting fields, using Tableau, Cognos, or SAP Hana; creating physical data modeling of fixed income transactions, industry standard entities, and security reference data, using Power Designer and Erwin; performing data analysis, using SQL*Loader, SQL, and Toad Data Modeler; and supporting and researching financial components of complex and large data sets within a fixed income domain.

DE performing ETL processes with complex data transformations, using SQL*Loader, Perl, Python, Unix shell scripting, and XML Parsing; performing full life cycle analysis of quantitative applications running in Fixed Income Data Stores, DataMarts, and Asset Management Warehouses, using Oracle (12c/11g/10g/9i/8i), OLAP, and OLTP database; designing, developing, and tuning complex database applications, using PL/SQL with TOAD for Oracle, Rapid SQL, and SQL developer; and creating, managing, and scheduling batch jobs, using Autosys, Jenkins, Groovy, and CI/CD practices.

DE sourcing, normalizing, and unit testing asset management data and structures, using TOAD, SQL Developer, Cucumber testing framework, Jenkins, Python, and Informatica within an Oracle environment to ensure efficient retrieval of data for reports and software applications used by investment professionals to inform investment decisions.

DE performing full stack development according to Scrum methodologies; supporting business needs -- performing project management, sprint planning, backlog story grooming, daily standups, and sprint retrospective ceremonies -- using Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
