Position Description:

Create epics, user stories, plans sprints, and distributes tasks across the development team, using Atlassian Jira, and Confluence. Perform business analysis for medium- and large-sized projects. Documents current, desired, and future-state business processes. Elicits and documents business requirements. Recommends designs for new processes and systems based on stated requirements. Provides analytical support and gathers essential information to build and submit required business cases. Provides input into project plans and schedules. Develops end-to-end solutions, including creating user interfaces for front-end users.

Primary Responsibilities:

Works with business and technology partners to identify, review, define, interpret, and clarify scope of work in terms of business and/or system requirements and processes.

Contributes to the analysis strategy for technology projects culminating in the creation of documentation to support project needs.

Recommends changes to existing system designs to achieve requirements and recommend designs for new systems based on stated requirements.

Works directly with the user community for project definition.

Assists in defining analysis strategy.

Documents objectives, use cases, requirements, and solution specifications.

Gathers requirements using Agile methodologies.

Creates user stories and issues, plan sprints, and distribute tasks across the software team using Jira.

Defines and documents acceptance criteria in Jira for testers to prepare test cases and perform SIT/UAT testing.

Participates in the review and validation of Quality Assurance test plans to ensure requirements have been met.

Logs defects and works closely with developers to resolve them.

Develops data, work, and process flows, and entity relationship diagrams in MS Visio.

Conducts and participates in backlog grooming sessions to prioritize business requirements.

Identifies and records risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions in accordance with project standards.

Communicates project plan information, objectives, and deliverables to the team using Confluence.

Writes business cases for review.

Enforces documentation standards and best practices.

Recommends business requirement traceability improvements.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on multiple projects concurrently.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing systems analysis and design of back and front-end services according to Agile methodologies within a Financial Services Compliance environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience performing systems analysis and design of back and front-end services according to Agile methodologies within a Financial Services Compliance environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) creating projects stories, backlogs, and references using Atlassian, Jira, and Confluence; providing project management for Scrum teams -- creating and project managing business, design, development, and test stories -- according to Agile methodologies; and performing backlog refinement, retrospective, and sprint planning within a Financial Services Compliance environment.

DE performing project scope planning and systems analysis using Agile PMI (Project Management Institute) practices; creating technical system documentation for requirements elicitation according to Agile methodologies; and designing, developing, and quality assurance testing of high-scale, secure customer facing Website product rollouts used to manage development stories using, Atlassian Jira, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft SharePoint.

DE performing business acceptance testing, using OBIEE and Oracle; and performing production sign-off for release deployments, triage, and root cause analysis for production support incidents of legacy software applications, using Java, Angular and .NET.

DE establishing requirements traceability matrices in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) to monitor financial services compliance requirements across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
