Job Description:

Provides Cloud-based business solutions by designing, developing, and deploying complex software applications. Implements Cloud applications and platforms to enable seamless automation of deployment to internal/external Cloud platforms, including Pivotal Cloud Foundry Platform, AWS, and Kubernetes. Designs, develops, and deploys Web applications using Angular framework. Designs, develops, and deploys RESTful APIs, using Nodejs, Python, and Spring Boot. Designs and develops Datadog monitoring capabilities through Concourse automation. Performs continuous integration and deployment using DevOps tools (Concourse and Jenkins).

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing and developing Platform as a Service (PaaS) applications and frameworks within a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, a Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience designing and developing Platform as a Service (PaaS) applications and frameworks within a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Experience (DE) designing and developing Single-Page Applications using Angular 7 including, Concourse pipeline automation consisting of Python and CloudFormation templates; integrating AWS S3 buckets, API Gateway, and Lambda functions for Web based applications; and implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) into Angular applications, using OAuth2 and CloudFoundry SSO tiles.

DE developing and integrating container applications, using Docker and Kubernetes; implementing Nodejs RESTful APIs, using ExpressJS in a microservice architecture with service discovery in CloudFoundry platform, using Zuul and Eureka.

DE designing and developing AWS Lambda functions in Python to send CloudWatch logs from S3 buckets, AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, and Lambda function logs to Datadog; configuring Datadog dashboards in deployment pipelines; designing and developing configurations solutions, using Spring Cloud and AWS Parameter Store; and designing and developing secret management solutions, using HashiCorp Vault and AWS Key Management Service Components (KMS).

DE building Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for deploying software applications, using Jenkins, Concourse, and uDeploy; integrating applications, using Nexus and Artifactory to store and retrieve application artifacts; performing source code management using, Git and Stash; and integrating Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) services with Platform as a Service (PaaS) provisioning systems deployed on internal and external clouds (Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
