Job Description:

THE ROLE:PALO is seeking an experienced Publisher Development Manager who is responsible for supporting and growing our clients by developing and maintaining relationships with key publishers in order to drive sales.
Top 5 Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day relationships and overall communication our publishers currently part of the PALO portfolio; identify new partnership opportunities and areas of optimization to drive revenue growth
  • Research high revenue potential publishers and perform outreach for recruitment into PALO programs
  • Strategize with new and existing publishers to develop out of the box ideas to activate partnerships and maximize sales
  • Manage inbound publisher requests including, but not limited to, launch lists for new clients, recommended partners in specific verticals, etc.
  • Present and sell new publisher opportunities to internal client management teams and provide updates on existing opportunities, motivating client managers to maximize opportunities with their clients
    WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
  • By 6 months:
    The Publisher Development Manager has developed strong relationships with the team as well as key publishers. They have developed or refined methodology to successfully identify and create publisher opportunities and sell them internally and to clients. They have a firm grasp on the recruitment and reporting process along with what is needed for success. They are consistently vetting all inbound publisher opportunities, meeting publisher outreach and phone meeting goals, as well as recruitment and revenue goals.
    • By 1 year:
      The Publisher Development Manager has created a reporting and recruitment process efficiencies and best practices. They are regularly identifying opportunities that genuinely move the needle. They are working with publishers and the team to develop new to activate publishers and generate revenue in order to exceed yearly goals.

      • Enjoys developing and making pitches for new business
      • Has a strong aptitude for identifying digital strategies based on publisher business models
      • Is a self-starter and will go after different opportunities, big and small
      • Quickly develops new relationships
      • Enjoys the challenge of reaching and exceeding revenue goals
      • Knows how to collaborate with team members in a remote environment and is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
      • Can keep deadlines and commitments and is accountable to your work
      • Only provides superior results for your team, and ultimately, your clients
      • Has confidence, poise, and eloquence in difficult situations
      • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing order to chaos
      • Possesses mature and measured judgment, and the ability to solve problems on your own
        Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
        • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in affiliate marketing; experience with cultivating relationships with publishers preferred or a digital marketing background.
        • Strong track record of building relationships.
        • Extensive knowledge of the digital marketing landscape.
        • Proven excellence in exceeding revenue goals
        • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills
        • Experience with other digital marketing channels, sales, and/or business development experience a plus
        • Ability to travel up to 20%
          Location:
          Our team is spread out throughout the country and parts of Canada. This position is structured around our Plymouth MA location and our HQ for the organization. Our office is right on the water overlooking Plymouth Harbor and steps away from the historic Plymouth Rock and the Mayflower.
          The Publisher Development Manager role is an in-office position with remote working abilities as well. You will need to be able to travel to the Plymouth, MA location, at minimum, 3 days a week.
          Some travel is required for client meetings, conferences, other internal meetings, etc.
