As part of Global Category Management, this position is a critical role on the US CatMan team focused on driving analytics and strategic support to SharkNinja's cross functional business partners across product development, retail, results optimization and proactive business insights. This role will be responsible for crafting compelling sell-in stories and will serve as the expert on trends and competitors for assigned sub-categories. This is an excellent position for a highly motivated, strategic team member who likes to work in a fast-paced environment and data driven atmosphere.This role will require coming into our Needham, MA office in a hybrid model 2-3 days per week.#LI-HYBRIDCore ResponsibilitiesServe as the category expert internally, generating and presenting actionable insights on pricing, promotional impacts, positioning, competitive landscape and market needs to develop comprehensive strategiesBuild partnerships with assigned retailers/buyers through presentation of market trends (syndicated data) and shopper data, across the entire portfolio of assigned category.Identify category gaps/opportunities for assigned customers, creating sales stories with strategic recommendations that differentiate SharkNinja from competitors, helping to increase distribution, space and displaysServe as voice of category/retail in cross functional innovation development meetings, highlighting trends and opportunities for expansion within current categories and/or within adjacent categories where SharkNinja has a right to playAssist in the management of the demand planning process, forecasting future category growth to be used as benchmark for sales demand plans. Track & proactively communicateopportunity gaps and risksPotential to manage a Co-op/Intern as needs arise, developing managerial skills for future advancementCore QualitiesBuild strong partnerships, both internal and external facing, with customer service mindsetAbility to drive objective analyticsInnate curiosity and desire to find creative solutionsAct as the voice of the market and categoryEducation and ExperienceBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience4+ years of relevant work experience within category management or sales analysisDemonstrated ability to multi-task and detail oriented, ensuring deadlines are metAbility to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to present and calibrate on critical challenges to internal and external partnersEffective communication and interpersonal skillsExperience pulling and analyzing syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, NPD, GFK, etc)Advanced Microsoft Excel/ Office skillsOur purpose is to positively impact people's lives every day in every home around the world!
