About the role Medivators, a Division of Cantel Medical, is seeking a strategic, creative and enthusiastic Sr. Manager, Global Commercial Learning Design to work as a critical team member in the Strategic Marketing Team. This person is responsible for leading, developing, and managing a team of Global Learning Designers to define, design, and implement global learning curriculums including product training for global commercial team members including sales, marketing, and clinical teams. This includes defining learning outcomes or competencies; designing education experiences for internal staff to meet those outcomes; and demonstrating that those experiences ensure Global Team members achieve desired learning and business objectives. Global influencers are diverse in a matrix organization that includes Sr. Managers, Country Managers, Commercial Team Members, Sales and Marketing Leaders and Representatives, Clinical Team, Talent Management, Compliance/Regulatory, Legal, and other stakeholders. The work scope includes managing a staff of Global Learning Design Managers to share developing learning strategies, set team direction, lead team and individual development, and manage performance including succession planning. Duties also include designing curriculums, helping solve business challenges through developing learning strategies, program management, management of the approval process for content/materials, and managing the analysis, design, development, and evaluation of onboarding, foundations, and certificate programs for new and existing team members. Design and development solutions includes content development and design for classroom/meetings, virtual training sessions, technology-based learning, material distribution/archiving for employee training, leadership development, corporate training, new product launches, field training and sales meeting workshops. This role requires collaboration with the America's Sales Training Manager to ensure successful preparation and post-training assessment of training programs. Manage external vendor relationships, performance, and results. The position will work out of our Headquarters in Plymouth, MN. Working remotely is possible for the right person willing to travel. This individual will report to the Vice President, Global Sales Training and Development. #CB What you will do

  • Conduct needs analyses to determine competencies needed for commercial team roles and support design of learning framework to give appropriate skill building and training
  • Work with global marketing, sales training, and leadership to design and deliver training programs for new product launches globally that later get incorporated into a new hire onboarding curriculum
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to determine and co-create a sales and marketing excellence curriculum and sales processes to use as a framework for the sales and marketing organization globally
  • Partner with Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Vice President, Global Sales Training and Development to execute global learning strategy by leading development efforts, leveraging learning technology, and stakeholder input
  • Maintain alignment between U.S. and Global learning content, solutions, strategy
  • Design and deliver surveys and conduct gap analysis that supports ongoing sales training programs and new product launches
  • Leverage existing content to drive marketing and sales skill development and work with global team members to adapt for region-specific needs (such as professional society guidelines)
  • Deliver annual performance reviews, mid-year reviews, conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with each Learning Design Manager team member, and conduct weekly staff meetings
  • Be available on a routine basis to handle urgent matters with team members and peers
  • Ensure alignment and levels of skill development between programs as learners move through various skill development areas (new hire, continuing skill development)
  • Project manage the design and development of programs, including program maintenance (content updates) as new products and messaging launch and need to be incorporated
  • Collaborate with other Learning Design, Sales Training, Marketing and other key team members to ensure latest information is included in programs
  • Recommend and support implementation of new learning solutions and platforms
  • Coach Sales Training Managers as they prepare for train-the-trainer and virtual or on-site program execution
  • Ensure completion of tasks including on-time deliverables, education requirements, and quality standards
  • Ensures all materials meet required compliance, trademark, and regulatory standards
  • Stay current with trends, best practices and technology for both the industry and learning field
  • Work with outside vendors to facilitate and execute on projects as budget allows
  • Communicate effectively by visuals/oral/written form with individuals, small groups and large audiences
  • Assist in creating and updating a new commercial team on-boarding program
  • Leads teams and project manages preparation for sales meeting and training events.
  • Creates project plans that are clear and achievable (including tracking budget, deliverables and communication plans)
  • Recommend instructional strategies and selection of instructional media
  • Develop performance measurement instruments What we are looking for QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION:
    • BA/BS Degree required
    • Minimum 8-10 years of learning & development experience, with a focus on learning strategy, process design, instructional design and facilitation
    • Preferred candidates will have instructional design experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device for field sales personnel
    • Experience leading a team, directly or indirectly
    • Strong familiarity with Adult Learning
    • Strong working experience of learning programs for graphic design/medial tools
    • Experience with the development, design and delivery of technology-based learning. Ability to work with Cantel Learning Management System (Cornerstone)
    • Demonstrated project management experience
    • Program management (analysis, design, development, evaluation) of training programs
    • Proven track record of comprehensive editing, writing and reviewing of training content to support classroom, e-learning, and WebEx training DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS FOR THIS POSITION:
      • MA/MS/MBA in Instructional Design or Training-related discipline preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
        • Weekly, morning and evening conference calls are required to work/communicate globally
        • Be able to travel +40% of the time if working remotely; Be able to travel 25% of the time if working from our office in Plymouth, Minnesota or Conroe, Texas
        • Travel includes North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific training locations, including the Cantel Training Center in Conroe, Texas.
        • Travel 1 to 2 weekends per year to attend major sales meetings for 2 to 4 days per meeting
