Job Description - DIRECTOR- SPECIALTY SALES (Southeast or MidWest) (132176) DIRECTOR- SPECIALTY SALES (Southeast or MidWest) - 132176 Location: Southeast or Midwest area. BASIC FUNCTION Responsible for selling the assigned business segment's products and services into vertical markets, as well as upselling to existing clients; develop and implement strategic business plans that include program objectives, strategies, timelines and identification of recommendations for new service offerings; identify and qualify new business prospects by determining if the prospect matches the assigned business segment services and qualifications, outlining opportunities and benefits of pursing a relationship; establish an excellent working relationship with clients, continuously striving to improve the business relationship and level of overall service the assigned business segment is providing MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Specialty Sales Development - Responsible for selling wellness and biometrics specialty products and services into vertical markets, as well as upselling additional products and services to existing clients while adhering to established corporate and departmental policies and procedures

  • Develop and execute complex vertical market campaigns that target companies that have medium to large volume consumer based transactions, as well as business-to-business opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to sell additional health and wellness products to existing clients by maintaining relationships with stakeholders and developing an understanding of client's business operations
  • Act as a subject matter expert in relation to assigned specialty products and services (Wellness and Biometrics) which may include assisting sales team members with specific product questions or meetings
  • Track and analyze campaigns to determine results and effectiveness then make corresponding changes as needed
  • Follow new sales leads from beginning to end in an accurate and timely manner ensuring sales goals are met and new opportunities for new revenue are identified
  • Support sales activities such as Request for Proposals (RFP) and the development of their responses, proposal development and delivery of proposal presentations and materials for existing and new clients
  • Coordinate internal resources for sales presentations which may include technical and cross divisional expertise
  • Participate in on-site client visits, accompanying staff on sales calls to client sites and review and approve selected client communications (e.g., major proposals, direct mail copy, problem resolution correspondence, etc.) as required
  • Accountable for continual prospecting activities to include significant efforts in cold calling
  • Participate in annual trade shows ensuring that the assigned business segment is represented in a way that will produce the greatest returns to the company and project an image consistent with corporate objectives *Optimize each contact with new and existing clients providing clients with the highest standard of customer services through the sales cycle
    • Continually keep up-to-date on industry trends in wellness and health advocacy in order to exceed client expectations Strategic Planning - Develop and implement strategic business plans that include program objectives, strategies, timelines and identification of recommendations for new service offerings
      • Qualify new business prospects by determining if the prospect matches West's services and qualifications, outlining opportunities and benefits of pursing a relationship
      • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned specialty products (Wellness and Biometrics), clients and applications of business divisions to understand the capabilities of business segment and whether or not those capabilities are compatible with the prospect
      • Responsible for communicating with management from all divisions, attending meetings as necessary to maintain knowledge of acceptable business levels, striving to continuously meet and exceed client expectations Problem Resolution - Proactively oversee the activities involved in quality resolution of problems related to area of responsibility
        • Respond with a sense of urgency to problems escalated to employee's level
        • Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impact the services being provided
        • Place the highest priority on providing quality service by ensuring the unique needs of internal/external customers are met
        • Ensure quality resolution and thorough and accurate documentation of issues
        • Provide analysis and feedback to management staff and appropriate departments regarding recurring problems, recommending improvements aimed at reducing future occurrences of problems
        • Participate in creating, administering, and continuously updating procedures for resolution of all related issues Client Relations - Establish an excellent working relationship with assigned client and continuously strive to improve the level of overall service that West is providing
          • Participate in client meetings and conference calls in order to identify issues and make recommendations on how to eliminate future occurrences
          • Serve as a client advocate ensuring quality and delivery of service ensuring all client or internal issues are followed through to resolution in a timely manner
          • Maintain current and up-to-date knowledge of clients
          • Escalate to management any situation outside the employee's control that could adversely impact the service provided to the client
          • Provide feedback to management when client expectations appear to be unreasonable or unrealistic and recommend feasible solutions
          • Identify any obstacles to providing the highest quality customer service and communicate constructive feedback to management Mental and Physical Requirements - - *This position will be exposed mainly to an indoor office environment and will be expected to work near or around computers, telephones, and printers *The nature of the work in this position is sedentary and the incumbent will be sitting most of the time *Essential physical functions of the job include typing, grasping, pulling hand over hand, and repetitive motions to utilize general computer software/hardware continuously throughout the work day *Essential mental functions of this position include concentrating on tasks, reading information, and verbal/written communication to others continuously throughout the work day Related Duties as Assigned - -
