Job Description:

Duties: Will lead, mentor, and teach engineers in

building web-based ecommerce applications, working with several large and

complex SQL databases; build both highly scalable and robust front-end and

back-end systems for e-commerce; integrate internally developed

applications and service-based protocols, applying experience with

eventually consistent architecture; and collaborate with colleagues and

product owners to bridge technology requirements with business needs;

contribute technical and procedural improvements across our engineering

ecosystem; demonstrate expertise in debugging and writing code to fix

critical bugs; work closely with client-side technology teams (HTML, CSS,

JavaScript) to create next-generation features; and perform database

design, development, performance optimization, and data ETL in a SQL

environment.

Requires: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,

Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education

equivalent) plus two years' experience performing PHP, JavaScript, and SQL

web development or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,

Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (willing to accept

foreign education equivalent) and five years' experience performing PHP,

JavaScript, and SQL web development. One year of experience must include:

Performing version control using GIT and SVN; Performing design and

development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create scalable applications;

Designing back-end applications using PHP, HTML and JavaScript; Employing

engineering and optimization best practices regarding frontend web

standards, code maintainability, page rendering, and browser performance;

Developing web applications to ensure cross-browser and cross-platform

compatibility; Defining test plans and performing unit testing; Performing

SQL database development including designing, queries, triggers and stored

procedures, performance tuning, and performing data ETL; Interfacing with

business product leaders and engineers to gather requirements and translate

requirements into system design; and Performing full-stack web programming

using PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, Mustache and Handlebars.
