NAVY NUCLEAR PROGRAM (NUC) (“Run a Nuclear Reactor Before You're
25”) Overview The Navy Nuclear Program is one of the most advanced
technical career paths in the world. Sailors in this field operate
and maintain nuclear reactors aboard submarines and aircraft
carriers. Career Paths Include: Electrician’s Mate Nuclear (EMN)
Electronics Technician Nuclear (ETN) Machinist’s Mate Nuclear (MMN)
("Engineer the Future. Serve the Nation.") Fire Control Technician
(FT) Missile Technician (MT) Key Responsibilities: Operate and
maintain nuclear propulsion systems Monitor reactor performance and
safety systems Troubleshoot advanced electrical and mechanical
equipment Support submarine and aircraft carrier operations
Requirements: Strong background in math and science High ASVAB
score (AFQT Nuclear line scores) U.S. Citizen Eligible for security
