Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Web Application Development
Manager 1, will be responsible for designing, developing and
supporting sophisticated software applications deployed on the
internet and used to manage MathWorks Licensing and Activation
applications; performing full stack design, development and
enhancement of MathWorks Licensing and Activation applications and
services; analyzing business requirements; developing, creating and
modifying computer application software; participating in code
reviews, troubleshooting bugs, and ensuring code quality;
collaborating with Quality Engineers, Usability Specialists,
Business Analysts, Application Users, and other development teams;
and ensuring applications and services meet performance SLAs. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and two (2)
years of experience in job offered or two (2) years of experience
in full stack web application development. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and six (6)
years of experience in job offered or six (6) years of experience
in full stack web application development. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise designing and building REST web services
using Java based frameworks -- Spring and Hibernate ORM; designing
and developing enterprise services and testable components of web
applications using JUnit or Mockito; integrating a Java codebase
with database engines -- Microsoft SQL server, MySQL, or Oracle;
and writing object-oriented database queries using Hibernate ORM
framework and SQL scripts. Demonstrated expertise developing object-oriented code in
Java/J2EE using programming algorithms and advanced data
structures; applying design patterns to Java code development; and
ensuring high test coverage using Unit Testing framework. Demonstrated expertise using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AJAX for
front-end programming to design web applications and services; and
designing and developing reusable web components using JavaScript
frameworks -- Backbone.js, AngularJS, or jQuery. Demonstrated expertise developing software applications along
the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) according to scrum-based
