Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. This Special Education teaching opportunity is based in Pawtucket, RI, offering a contract position within an elementary school setting. The role focuses on delivering tailored instruction and support to young learners with social/emotional disabilities and autism spectrum disorders, aligning with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Two distinct classroom settings are available: Elementary (Self-contained): Caseload of 8 students Serving kindergarten through 2nd grade Supported by 2 paraprofessionals to assist with daily classroom needs Elementary (Resource): Caseload to be determined Serving 3rd and 4th graders Focused on providing resource support within the general education environment Key responsibilities include developing and implementing appropriate lesson plans, conducting assessments, collaborating with support staff, and maintaining open communication with families and school personnel to promote student progress and well-being.
