Job Description:
Position: Principal Product Engineer (Burlington, MA) Position
allows for telecommuting from home office. Must be available from 9-5
in EST. Duties: Upgrade and troubleshoot core system components.
Complete billable projects by configuring/modifying customer system.
Optimize technical tasks associated with projects. Lead department goals
and initiatives. Upgrade platform components by executing and
writing scripts to apply database packages for SQL 2016, applying layer
updates using Tomcat/Apache and platform specific technologies in
.NET, telephony layer APIs and mixed Windows/Unix environments
according to project milestone requirements. Configure or modify customer
systems through product tools or custom coding to specification for
billable customer engagements. Utilize skills and knowledge in the
following areas (relational databases, SQL, Java, UNIX/Linux command
line environment, network trouble-shooting, and object-oriented
programming) to troubleshoot issues with core system components
(IntelliScript, AutoScript, EDT). Assist in the hiring, onboarding and training
of new technical project specialists and act as a mentor and escalation
point for team members. Handle technical escalations from project
engineering and support teams; act as technical lead for critical incidents;
work directly with R&D and data center operations teams to drive
complex and high impact issues to resolution. Identify technical challenge
trends associated with projects, and ensure issues and tasks are
handled appropriately by team members. Responsible for internal
project milestone deliverables for process improvement initiatives based
on proactive trend analysis and root cause analysis. Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in
Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information
Management or a related field and three (3) years of experience performing implementation and product support for software applications
using SQL and Java; or in the alternative, a Bachelor’s degree (or
foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Systems, Information Management or a related field and five (5) years
of experience as indicated above. Also requires demonstrated expertise (DE): performing
installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of healthcare
documentation platforms; DE performing product support for dictation and
transcription repositories; DE deploying security enhancements and
supporting migrations; and DE handling technical escalations from
