I bet this isnt what you think of when you think small CPA firm just outside the Cape is it?If youre coming from a large firm, then this may be a little shock to the system..in the best way.Culture-wise, there is a real family feel to this firm. You will be surrounded by great people with strong technical experience. You will be in a pretty relaxed atmosphere and youll be treated like an adult.You will have pretty sophisticated tech for a firm this size, so youll be set up with all the tools you need for success.Your voice will be heard here. The owner is a great guy who truly cares about his staff and their opinions and has put things in place so he can regularly find out what everyone wants and needs, which means youll get a say in the environment you work in.They know you have to put more work in over busy season, so you will be rewarded for this with bonuses 3 times a year, and you wont be working more than 60 hours, although it is usually closer to 50 hours in that time.If you see ownership in your future then that is definitely on the cards here, with a clear path to this if you choose.Everyone in the office works differently, so if a hybrid model is what you want, then thats how it will be. Theyd like you to do a couple of days in the office, but how that works is flexible. The owner knows its about getting the job done, how you do that is up to you.This firm is headed in a really exciting direction. The owner has some great progressive ideas like 4-day weeks for everyone and is working to achieve these, so you have the opportunity to be a part of this journey.You will have sight of every aspect of your clients and you will be expected to become a true advisor and take care of them and build genuine client relationships.Your client base will be mostly closely held businesses and their owners.
