--- Seek social justice Position Summary The Associate Director provides critical support to the Executive Director, coordinates day-to-day operations, and has specific oversite over community engagement, evaluation, quality improvement and public funding. The Associate Director is a member of the leadership team.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and organization leadership team (Development & Communications, Finance, Human Resources) to carry out the mission of the organization and goals of the strategic plan
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to coordinate specific initiatives in service to the strategic plan, including goal-specific workgroups and other task-specific activities
  • Oversee community engagement & outreach, legislative advocacy, thought leadership, and coalition building activities
  • Oversee evaluation and quality improvement activities of the organization
  • Oversee government contracts, new public funding opportunities, program-related licensing regulations, and reporting
  • Assist with the development of the annual budget
  • Act on behalf of the Executive Director in her absence Position Qualifications
    Education and experience
    • Bachelor's Degree - or - equivalent experience + high school diploma or GED
    • Five (5) years non-profit administration, program, or equivalent management experience
    • Minimum of two (2) years personnel supervision experience, three (3) years preferred
      Experience in a minimum of one of the following three areas (experience in all three preferred):
      • Experience with public and/or private grant writing and contract management
      • Experience with performance measurement, quality assurance/improvement, and statistical analysis related to program evaluation
      • Experience with community engagement, community organizing, or similar activities
        Skills and Knowledge
        • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe proficient
        • Knowledge of chemical dependency, domestic violence, and homelessness
        • Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
        • Mature leadership skills, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence
        • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
        • Detail-oriented
        • Skilled at working with deadlines, handling confidential and time-sensitive material
        • Excellent people skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
          Other Requirements
          • Ability to pass a criminal background check
            Salary and Benefits
            • Salary range: $75,000 - $82,000 depending on qualifications & experience.
            • Benefits: Individual health and dental coverage, HSA account, 403(b) retirement plan, life insurance, short and long-term disability, PTO, and paid holidays.
